Hello ladies and gentleman too. I just want start off by thanking Shelby for creating this site and wish you and British the best in your marriage!
I think it’s great to be able to share your thoughts and feeling with other couples and encourage each other, especially with today’s society. I would like to introduce myself, my name is Jazz and I am engaged to my fiancé Leon and have been in this relationship for seven years. Our first 3 years together, after being in dead-end relationships, we focused building a friendship and trust. We became best friends and this has allowed us to be open-minded and honest with each other. Talking to my sweetheart is like talking to my girlfriends. I absolutely love it! I wouldn’t trade him for anything.
I would like to share some tips with you that have proven to be successful in maintaining my relationship. The first 3 are a must have to be successful 1. TRUST** – without trust your relationship is bound to fail. You must have it in order to love
2. COMMUNICATION** - it is so important to communicate and listen to your partner and be aware of each others feelings, concerns, desires and needs.
3. RESPECT** – If there is no respect there is no love
4. You must be willing to COMMIT to your partner; this would include your time, body, and energy and YES your money too. It not difficult when you have trust!
5. GETAWAY! You must plan romantic getaways just for the two of you.
6. Go out on dates! RECREATE the first time you met all the time. Hang out, catch a movie or take a vacation, go for a long walk or just plan a romantic dinner. This will keep the flame burning.
7. SUPPORT your partner! Show appreciation. REASSURE each other. Let your partner know that they are loved regularly … not just when having sex. Don’t forget the compliments. This will build your partners confidence
8. SHARE common spiritual experiences. Pray together. This will add depth, power and intimacy to your relationship. Remember a family that prays together, stays together. Let your relationship have the ultimate foundation.
9. BE PROACTIVE. Develop a financial plan and put it in to play. This avoids stress and allows you to live a better, healthier life together.
10. Finally, treat each other like royalty. Be each others King and Queen. LOVE, RESPECT AND HONOR!
I wish you all the best in your relationship and your pursuit to Attracting the RIGHT One. Have faith in GOD and love one another!
